At approximately 8:18 PM Monday, May 24, 2021, Mountain View Fire Rescue along with Boulder Rural Fire Rescue, Lafayette Fire Department, Longmont Fire Department, Lefthand Fire Protection District, Louisville Fire Protection District, Hygiene Fire, and AMR responded to a report of a garage on fire at the 6400 block of Bluebird Avenue in unincorporated Boulder County. Upon arrival, crews found the attached garage fully engulfed by fire. Homeowners reported they were alerted there was a fire by the sound of a smoke alarm. The homeowner felt the door that led to the garage was hot and evacuated the family by another exit. There was major damage to the garage, however little damage to the remainder of the house. There were no injuries reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
