The Mountain View Fire Protection District is governed by a citizen elected Board of Directors who act as the governing body for the Fire District. All members elected to board positions reside within the boundaries of the District. The Board of Directors meets on a monthly basis. Below is a list of the current Board of Directors.

Randy Winsett, President-
He is a Colorado native, raised in Thornton. After graduating from Highland High School, Randy served in the Army as a Military Police Officer in Germany. After serving in the military, he graduated from Metro State College with a degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology. Randy served as a Board Member/Trustee for the Town of Mead for 8 years during the 1990’s. Randy has worked for the Weld County Sheriff’s office since 1985, and is currently the Bureau Chief for the Patrol Division. He currently sits on several law enforcement related boards and has developed several projects while working with the Sheriff’s Office. Randy’s time is devoted to his work, elected duties and family; with family being the most important. His wife, Sandy, runs the family business, Port-A-Stall located in Weld County; and Randy owns a car wash in Longmont where he devotes time to. Randy lives in Mead, and looks forward to any time he can spend with his grandson and family as his most cherished time.

Scott Lyle, President-
He is a Tax Department Managing Partner of Doty, Lyle and Jones, LLC, a CPA firm in Boulder. Scott graduated from the University of San Diego and has since been engaged in the accounting, tax and auditing profession. His specialties include business consulting, business accounting, software consulting, and individual and corporate taxes, heading the firm’s Business Tax Department. He has served on numerous Boards of Directors and, as an ex-college athlete, he donates his time to teach and coach both youth baseball and football. Scott resides in Erie with his wife and children.

Jerrod Vanlandingham, Secretary-
He is a Battalion Chief with the City of Longmont Fire Department. Jerrod holds a Master of Business Administration, UOP, Bachelor of Arts in Communications, Abilene Christian University. Jerrod’s community involvement includes Junior Achievement, Health Talents International, Habitat for Humanity, Mountain States Children’s Home, and Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Colorado. Jerrod is a member of Rocky Mountain Christian Church, Colorado State Fire Training Officers Association, International Association of Fire Chiefs, International Association of Firefighters and Longmont Professional Firefighters Association. Jerrod is a published author in fire service publications, owns a real estate redevelopment/management company and he and his wife of 18 years reside in Erie, with their three sons.

Mike Rangel, Treasurer-
He has served with the Boulder Fire Department for 22+ years, and currently holds the position of Assistant Fire Marshal. Mike served as a volunteer firefighter/fire officer for 20 years with Louisville Fire Protection District; five years as Fire Chief. He also served in the United States Marine Corps for six years as a plane captain/aircraft crash rescue. Mike enjoys waterfowl hunting, big game hunting, camping and golf. He states he has been blessed with a great family that he loves dearly; has four children and resides in Dacono with his wife Carey and their sons Dylan and Derek. Mike has expressed that for the firefighters of Mountain View Fire, their safety will always be his highest priority so that they may all go home safely to their families; and for the taxpayers of the District, he will do his best to assist in delivering the best professional service as possible.

Debra Brodhead, Ass't. Secretary/Treasurer-
She moved to Longmont, CO with her father, mother and younger brother after her father retired from the Air Force in June, 1973. Debra graduated from Longmont High School and continued to take classes through different community colleges with an emphasis on Criminal Justice. Debra's work experience includes Elk City, Oklahoma Police Department, Longmont Police Department, Sheridan Police Department and the Town of Mead. In June, 2002, Debra took a position with the Weld County Sheriff's Office as a Sheriff's Office Support Service Technician at the Del Camino SW Substation. Debra was a trustee on the Town of Mead Board from November, 1993 through April, 1998, and then ran for election in April, 2004 for a four year term. In April, 2008, Debra tied with another candidates, but won by the drawing of names out of a baseball cap. She will serve on the Mead Board until 2012. Debra lives in Mead near her son, Shawn and her granddaughter, Heaven. She also has two stepdaughters, Andrea and her family of Greeley and Kendra and her family of Utah.
