Built in 1975 to serve as the Fire District Headquarters and to house the career firefighters. As the Fire District developed, a larger administrative staff was required. The amount of office space available at the Station was limited, so the administrative staff was moved to 700 Weaver Park Road in Longmont.   

In 1995, the decision was made to add-on to the station. A larger crew quarters and the administrative side were added. The original design for this station had plans for a hose-drying tower, but it was never added. Currently, a career engine, the on-duty Battalion Chief, Fire Marshal and the administrative staff are located at this station. The Board of Directors and the Pension board have held their meetings here.  With one final remodel, the northern two bay doors were removed and a single larger door was installed.
