MountainView Fire Protection District has launched the Paid Part Time Program (PPT).
Mountain View’s Paid Part Time Programs allows another avenue for Firefighters to utilize their skills. Firefighter will be paid a salary for hours worked. A minimum of 48 hours will be required per month, up to a maximum of 120 hours.
The Paid Part Time Program offers a Firefighter a personal developmental program that prepares and markets the Firefighter for a career employment, while assisting the district in meeting staffing needs.
Minimum Requirements to apply are:
1. Must be 18 years or older
2. High school diploma or (GED)
3. Possess or be able to obtain a Colorado State driver’s license by date of hire
4. Possess a good driving history and be insurable by the Authority’s insurance provider
5. DRCOG scores: Applicants must achieve a score of 70% or greater in each tested category as well as a overall score of 70% or greater.
6. Colorado State Certified EMT-B or EMT-P. Please note: National Registry certification accepted at the time of application, however, you must obtain Colorado State certification by date of hire.
7. EMT-B must be IV Certified
8. Current CPR certification
9. Colorado State Certified Firefighter I
10. Colorado State Certified Hazmat Operations
11. Red Card 130/190, (District will provide)
12. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment motor vehicle driving record check, criminal history review, EMS and Fire skills assessments, interviews, psychological evaluation, background investigation, drug screen and physical.
