Position Qualifications:
All candidates must meet all of the following minimum qualifications by the application deadline in order to be considered for the position:
General Requirements of Eligibility
· Must be of good moral character
· Must be a minimum of eighteen (18) years of age
· Must possess a valid Drivers’ License
· Must have a clean driving record
· Must complete and submit a Mountain View Fire Rescue application along with all other required documentation per application
Education/Experience:
· High school diploma or GED
· Associates Degree from an accredited college or university is highly desirable
Minimum Licensing/Certification Requirements:
· Must possess a State of Colorado EMT or Paramedic certification or National Registry
· Must possess American Heart Association (AHA) CPR and ACLS certifications, as required for EMT or Paramedic
· Completed NTN FireTEAM test by the application deadline.
· Candidate Physical Agility Test (CPAT), current certification
Preferred Certifications:
· State of Colorado Division of Fire Safety Firefighter I certification
· State of Colorado Division of Fire Safety Hazardous Material Operations certification
Applicants will be required to complete the following examinations:
· National Testing Network – FireTEAM exam

· Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT)
- Candidates who do not already possess a current Candidate Physical Ability Test card, can visit https://www.aims.edu/academics/fire-science/cpat/ for more information and schedule a Candidate Physical Ability test through Aims Community College.

Testing and Assessments
All applicants will be required to successfully complete a battery of assessments to determine suitability for the position they are applying for.
At a minimum the candidate will be subjected to the following assessments:
· Practical assessment of EMS skills commensurate with the position being applied for (i.e., Paramedic, EMT)
· Oral board with employees of the district
· Interview with the Chief of the District
Candidates who are made a conditional offer will be required to successfully pass the following:
· Integrity Interview & Background Investigation
· Medical Exam with Drug Screening to include VO2 Max
Successful candidates will be placed on the active Hiring List.
