Where courage, curiosity, and community come together!
Get ready for an unforgettable summer adventure! Mountain View Fire Rescue is excited to host our annual Kid’s Fire Academy—a dynamic, hands-on experience designed for young minds eager to explore the world of firefighting, emergency response, and community service.
Led by our experienced instructors, participants will dive into the fundamentals of fire safety, teamwork, leadership, and emergency preparedness through:
- 🚒 Firefighting gear demonstrations
- 🧯 Fire safety and prevention lessons
- 💪 Team-building challenges
- 🧠 Interactive drills and scenarios
- 👨🚒 Real-world insights from Mountain View Fire Rescue professionals
This academy is more than just fun—it’s an empowering way for kids and teens to build confidence, make new friends, and discover the everyday heroes in our community.
📅 2025 Kids Academy Schedule
We’re offering six sessions this summer to accommodate different age groups and locations:
Longmont Location – 111 First Ave, Longmont
- June 9–12 | 9:00 AM–12:00 PM — Ages 7–11
- June 9–12 | 1:00 PM–4:00 PM — Ages 12–16
- June 23–26 | 9:00 AM–12:00 PM — Ages 7–11
- June 23–26 | 1:00 PM–4:00 PM — Ages 12–16
Superior Location – 2701 S. Indiana St., Superior
- July 7–10 | 9:00 AM–12:00 PM — Ages 7–11
- July 7–10 | 1:00 PM–4:00 PM — Ages 12–16
📌 Please double-check the age group and location when registering.
We are limiting each camp to 24 students so sign up early!!
📝 Registration Info & Scholarship Details
Registration is now open via the Registration Link. Due to the high demand for our program, we are prioritizing first-time participants this year.
If your child attended the academy last summer and would like to join again, they are still welcome to register—but will be placed on a waitlist initially. Our outreach team will notify returning participants if space becomes available as the date approaches.
💲 Refundable Deposit & Scholarship Program
To reserve your child’s spot, we ask for an $80 refundable fee.
- Payment is not due until your registration has been confirmed by our outreach team.
- The $80 fee will be refunded at the end of the session your child attends.
- If the deposit presents a financial hardship, we are offering scholarships to cover the cost.
