Fire at Condominium Complex in Erie

On the evening of March 31, 2021, at approximately 8:37 p.m. Mountain View Fire Rescue and the Lafayette Fire Department responded to a report of a fire at Blue Sky at Vista Ridge condominium complex in Erie.  The fire was stopped immediately due to the residential sprinkler system activation.  The fire damage to the unit is estimated to be about $5000. The 24-unit building was saved because of the sprinkler system.

Division Chief Paul Johnson advised an unknown number of people were displaced because of the fire.  There were no injuries reported.  The origin and cause of the fire is under investigation.
