Temporary Station closure for repairs

Mountain View Fire Station 8 located at 400 Bonanza Drive in Erie, will temporarily be closed May 13, 2022, to facilitate building repairs that cannot be completed while crews are living and working in the building.

Station 8 was constructed in 2015 and has experienced shifting and settling soils affecting the foundation and some of the mechanical systems in the building.  To facilitate repairs and maintain the health and safety of our employees we are temporarily relocating staff and apparatus to nearby stations.  Station 2 located at 7700 Baseline Road will now house an ambulance in addition to the engine already housed there. Station 6 located at 50 Bonanza Drive in Erie along with crews from Lafayette Fire and North Metro Fire will continue to run calls in Station 8’s response area until repairs are complete.  All firefighters normally stationed out of Station 8 will temporarily be relocated to other stations and will remain on their assigned shift.

The health and safety of the public we serve, and our employees remain a top priority for Mountain View; we are working diligently to ensure an efficient return to service of Station 8.  For additional questions please contact info@mvfpd.org.
