Mountain View fire responded to reports of smoke in the area of Serene and Vista Parkway in Erie, Colorado at 2:20 this morning. Once in the area first arriving units found a single-family home near Vista Parkway and Parkdale Circle fully involved in fire. The family and all but two of their pets made it out safely and have found temporary housing. Crews from Mountain View, Lafayette and Louisville fire worked together to contain the early morning fire. The fire is out, however firefighters remain on scene controlling hot spots. No injuries to the family or firefighters were reported. A fire investigation is in progress.
