2026 Community Academy

Mountain View Fire Rescue is excited to open registration for our 2026 Community Academy, an interactive, behind-the-scenes experience designed to give community members a deeper understanding of how your fire department operates and serves the district.
The 2026 Community Academy will begin on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at 6:00 PM (1800) and will run weekly for six weeks. Each 2.5 hour session will feature hands-on learning, engaging discussions, and opportunities to meet the firefighters and staff who support emergency response, prevention, and community risk reduction across our district.
What to Expect
Participants will gain insight into:
- Fire and EMS operations
- Emergency response and decision-making
- Fire prevention and community risk reduction
- Training, equipment, and apparatus
- Special programs and services offered by Mountain View Fire Rescue
- The role of residents in emergency preparedness and safety
Sessions will rotate through different locations within our district and cover a new topic each week.
Registration & Eligibility
We invite adults who are interested in learning more about their fire department and becoming informed community partners to apply.
- Preference will be given to applicants who live or work within the Mountain View Fire Rescue District
- Space is limited
- Submitting an application does not guarantee placement in the academy

Commitment
Participants are encouraged to attend all sessions to get the most out of the program and to support group discussion and continuity throughout the academy.
