Lives in Longmont

I am in my 23rd year of a career in emergency services. I have served as a wildland firefighter, emergency medical technician (EMT), lieutenant, instructor, trainer, and crisis communications specialist. I have designed, developed, and implemented Fire Prevention/Community Outreach and media/crisis communication programs for a variety of emergency response agencies across the Colorado.

Since 2005, I have worked closely with regional and national incident management teams for emergency and disaster response nationwide. I was a member of the Boulder County Incident Management Team for several years responding to the 2010 Fourmile Canyon Fire, and the 2013 floods. Currently, I serve as a member of the Eastern Colorado Incident Management team.

I am a graduate of Metropolitan State College of Denver with a bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science with an emphasis in Special Needs/Learning Styles and Deviant Behavior. Since graduating I have continued to further my education in the fields of Leadership, Crisis Communications, Human Behavior, Disaster Psychology, and Social Media.

I am a native of Colorado and have lived in northern Colorado with my husband of 26 years since 1996.  I have proudly served on the Mountain View Fire Rescue Board of Directors since February 2017.
